Jackie Earley has been working with clay for many years, her formative years being spent in Australia where she completed a studio potter's course and exhibited with the local craft co-operative. After teaching for a long time she has now returned to producing her own work.

Jackie makes one-off pieces in a variety of clays mainly using the coiling technique. Her first objective is to produce a pleasing and satisfactory form and then to decorate appropriately using a variety of methods. All work is fired in an electric kiln, the final firing temperature depending on type of clay and decoration.

Jackie's inspiration comes from many sources, years of travel observing different cultures and all forms of nature, the myriad shapes, colours and textures that surround us.
