Les fires porcelain and stoneware to 1350C in a propane kiln; oxygen levels are monitored and controlled during glaze firing to give a wide range of colours. Les researched construction materials for many years before becoming a full-time potter in 2003. Ceramics training was via evening classes and short courses at Harrow, Ealing, Langley and Brunel. His "research" is now on glaze development and investigations of archeaological, ethnalogical and sculptural resources to inform the design of his functional and other pieces.
Work is sold via exhibitions, galleries, craft fairs, commissions and Uxbridge Craft Market.
